My body is precious and I take care of my body as good as possible. For me is eating clean and working out the most important things to feel fit and happy. It may suck not being able to eat your favorite foods all the time but it sucks even more when you feel sick and tired. It’s very important that you make your clean meals delicious because otherwise you will grab chocolate instead of vegetables. This smoothie recipe is not only delicious but also extremely healthy because I use 3 different kinds of superfoods.
Linseed and chia seed are both powerhouses of nutrition. They are also a source of omega 3 fats, which are essential for a healthy heart, brain and immune system. Chia seed has got even more benefits then linseed, but are more expensive. If you want to know more about Chia seed you can go to my chia seed pudding recipe. Because I don’t eat fish, I don’t get the amount of Omega that my body needs. That’s why I eat more linseeds and chia seeds then an average person.
Wheatgrass contains about 30 beneficial enzyme that improve overall healthy functions of your body. They improve digestion, purify blood and utilizing body fat for increased energy. Did you had any vegetables today? One serving of wheatgrass is equal to 800-900 g of vegetables.
Of course I also want you to be healthy as possible, so I will share my recipe. If you want to use wheatgrass also, I would recommend to combine it with red fruit because it will neutralize the flavor. Wheatgrass does smell and tastes like grass…
Superfood Smoothie Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons linseed
- 2 teaspoons chia seeds
- 1 teaspoon wheatgrass
- 50 grams frozen strawberries
- 50 grams frozen raspberries
- 1 banana
- 1 kiwi
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) peach nectar
Optional: 1 scoop of protein powder
Superfood Smoothie Instructions
Put all the ingredients into the blender and mix till it’s blended. Because the berries are frozen you will get a delicious cold superfood smoothie, perfect for each time of the day. Enjoy your healthy superfood smoothie!!
